In the not so distant future, Cape Town is full of people who gain
extraordinary powers through inheriting mystical animal masks passed down
through generations Known as Roho these mask wearers use their
connection to the Spirit Realm to gain abilities unique to the animal they
represent, such as the strength of an elephant, the unparalleled flying speed
of the peregrine falcon, or the adorable ferociousness of the meerkat The
most powerful group of Roho known as ‘The Tribe’ use their powers to protect
the city from its biggest threat, the Devoids massive corrupted monsters that
continuously appear around the city, causing chaos and endangering civilians
The creatures' origins seem to be tied to the mysterious Spirit Realm and the
Tree that grows at its centre Some force seems to be sending them to destroy
the world of humanity
